Surfing in Connemara

We are a team of passionate surfers who have been chasing waves around Ireland and worldwide for over two decades. Connemara is the perfect setting to learn the sport, get comfortable on the waves and pop-up on your board –and we are Galway’s only surf school.

Nothing beats those sessions when you finally manage to stand-up on a wave and ride your way to the shore -and as you progress with your skills, that feeling only gets better! Our surf lessons are structured in a way to make everyone feel comfortable, safe and we are passionate about ensuring all surf enthusiasts get something out of the day –no matter what your level.

We have all been beginner surfers, and we understand every aspect –from the nerves, excitement and the (wonderful!) learning curve! Anyone who has a desire to learn surfing, is already on the way to riding that first wave! Let us show you how to get there.

The combination of small groups, highly experienced surf instructors, good vibes and the surrounds of the Wild Atlantic Way ensure a great experience -and they are always super fun days on the water!

We are proud to be the only company that offers the opportunity to learn to surf on the peninsula of Ballyconneely, which juts out into the Atlantic Ocean, nestled between Clifden and Roundstone -making this one of the most unique beaches to begin your surf journey.
