We’ve been coming here as a family for years but it’s the first time I thought to leave a review: this place is so consistently brilliant, and ticks all the boxes for us. A warm welcome and the reassurance that comes with seeing the owners on site. The food is especially good – perhaps the best it’s ever been, under current head chef Sinead. And as for the panoramic beach-side sauna, amazing.

Definitely one to be added as one of the top hotels in Ireland. We could not recommend this hotel highly enough, it was a pleasure to stay in. Dean, Cathy and his family together with his wonderful staff were so helpful and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious! There is so much to do onsite from the private access to the beach, hot tubs and sauna, just a lovely getaway in the West of Ireland. The music provided in the bar was fantastic, really lively and we even got to play the bodhran which added to the craic. If you are looking for comfort, good food and drink and to take in all the sights of Ballyconneely, Clifden and neighboring towns you can’t go wrong with the Connemara Sands Hotel!!!

The Connemara Sands is an ideal location for a relaxing break. Superb service, food, and facilities all combine to create a relaxing atmosphere. We had lunch in the Sands bar before our jacuzzi, seaweed bath, sauna, and sea swim experience. This was followed by a delicious dinner with a fabulous selection of food and drink. We were surprised to have live music in the bar that night also! The following morning we had a fresh to order hot breakfast, and more time in the sea! The staff of the Sands went beyond expectations throughout our stay.

This is the best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had. They make everything they can from scratch and it shows. I had 3 dinners and a lunch here and every meal was sensational. Its a stylish, very comfortable hotel, a 3 minute walk from a private beach that looks tropical. Comes with a sauna, hot tubs, seaweed baths. The staff couldn’t be nicer and I’ve already booked to come back
